The American Society of Travel Agents, a frequent outlet for
airline consumer complaints, has proposed an Air Traveler's Bill of
Rights.
Airline passengers have the right to:
Truth in advertised prices, schedules and seat availability.
Equal access to comparative travel information, including fare
and service differences.
A comfortable seat, adequate carry-on space, healthful meals.
Timely and courteous service in making connections.
Use of all, part or none of the segments on any ticket
purchased.
Timely, complete and truthful information about delays,
cancellations and equipment changes.
Appropriate in-flight emergency medical service.
Access to courts and state consumer laws to resolve complaints.
