OAK BROOK, Ill. —
McDonald's Corp. on Monday voluntarily
recalled about 234,000 toys that come with the restaurant chain's
Happy Meals after learning three children had choked or gagged on
the "Scooter Bug" antenna, which is prone to breaking off.
The toys were distributed with McDonald's Happy Meals from
November of last year through February in Canada and the United
States, the Oak Brook-based company said.
The toy is about 3 inches long and 2 1/2 inches wide, and its legs
move back and forth when rolled. It has a yellow face with red
antennas, orange feet and a purple body with green spots. The words
"Fisher Price" are on the top of the toy with "MFG.FOR MCD
CORP.CHINA" are on the rear of the toy.
Parents are advised to take the toy away from children
immediately and exchange it at any McDonald's restaurant for a
